Raymour & Flanigan Growth Areas
Raymour & Flanigan continued to grow
despite one of the worst economic recessions in history, and opened 6 new showrooms in 2009. Three new locations were former Linen N’ Things converted to Raymour & Flanigan Furniture showrooms, (Columbus Boulevard in Philadelphia, Secaucus, NJ; Coney Island, NY). In addition to Brooklyn, two other Borough showrooms were opened this year. Bronx Terminal Market Store opened August 2009 and the Metropolitan Avenue, Queens, NY store opened March 2009.
On November 27, 2009 Raymour & Flanigan opened 66th & Broadway. The former Circuit City location is Raymour & Flanigan 3rd Manhattan location, but is now the Manhattan flagship store.
Projects on the board for 2010 include new stores in White Plains, NY, North Attleboro, MA, and Patchogue, NY.
Raymour & Flanigan’s aggressive expansion has made the company the largest furniture retailer in the Northeast with over $1 billion in sales. Expansion will continue in markets under the current footprint. Raymour & Flanigan has no plans for stores outside their existing markets.
