Raymour & Flanigan Expands Into Metro NY
Raymour & Flanigan continues to pursue expansion opportunities in the Metro New York market. Thirteen stores are open in the metro New York market. Which includes 3 stores on Long Island and our first Manhattan store open on 23rd Street. Stores currently under construction for openings in 2008 include Phillipsburg-NJ, Dover-DE, and Patchogue-NY.
Our footprint took a large leap forward November 2007 with the acquisition of 18 former Levitz stores. This acquisition will enhance our already successful footprint with stores opening in 2008 in Staten Island, Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens. This aggressive expansion will propel the largest furniture retailer in the Northeast to over $1 billion in sales.

Store Criteria
Raymour & Flanigan will LEASE or BUY properties that can accomodate a 35,000 - 70,000 SF furniture store in Suburban markets and 12,000 - 30,000 SF in the Boroughs. This criteria inludes: (i) second generation space in a retail shopping center, (ii) stand-alone existing building or (iii) new construction - ground-up projects.
Important Note: Raymour & Flanigan can operate in a single or two level showrooms in Suburban locations and will strongly consider multi-level stores in Boroughs. This design can include mezzanine space, basement space or other odd configurations.
